Proof, not promises

The colour underneath is the colour it always was.

Algae, lichen and black staining sit on the surface — and just into the pores — of the render. A proper soft wash removes them at the root, so the finish comes back to the colour the day it was installed. No painting, no touch-ups, no damage.

  • Restores render to its original colour — no repainting needed
  • Safe on K-Rend, silicone, monocouche, pebbledash and painted render
  • Long-lasting biocide keeps algae from returning quickly
  • Planting and neighbouring surfaces protected before and after

Every render, done properly

The right method for your render.

Different renders need different chemistry and a different pair of hands. Andrew has cleaned every finish below across Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire.

K-Rend & silicone

Modern textured silicone renders hold algae and black staining in their tiny pores. A dwell-time biocide lifts the growth without touching the finish.

Monocouche

Through-coloured render is easy to damage with pressure. Soft washing restores the original colour without stripping the topcoat or exposing the base.

Painted & pebbledash

Older painted render and pebbledash are cleaned at low pressure so the finish stays intact — no flaking paint, no dislodged stones.

Sandtex & traditional

Traditional sand-and-cement render is cleaned carefully around cracks and repairs, restoring an even colour across the whole elevation.

How it works

A calm, careful soft-wash process.

No pressure blasting, no scaffolding, no repainting. Every render job follows the same considered process — that is why the results hold up for years.

Render Cleaning in Beaconsfield: Restoring a Stained Render Exterior Safely
  1. 01

    Survey & protect

We inspect the render, check for repairs or cracks, and wet down and cover planting before anything is applied.

  2. 02

    Soft-wash biocide

A specialist biocide is applied at low pressure across the render, killing algae and lichen at the root.

  3. 03

    Dwell time

The treatment is left to work into the pores of the render — this is what restores the original colour, not brute force.

  4. 04

    Rinse & finish

The surface is gently rinsed and inspected. Any remaining staining continues to fade over the following weeks as the biocide keeps working.

Honest guide prices

FAQs

Render cleaning questions, answered.

Will pressure washing damage my render?+

Yes, it can — and often does. Pressure washing K-Rend, silicone or monocouche render can strip the topcoat and leave permanent scarring. That is exactly why we use soft washing: a specialist biocide at low pressure, matched to the render type.

How long before I see the finished result?+

Some staining lifts immediately. Deeper algae and black staining continues to fade over the following two to six weeks as the biocide keeps working — no return visit needed.

Is your treatment safe for plants?+

Yes, when applied correctly. We wet down and rinse planting before and after treatment as part of the process, and we protect anything sensitive with sheeting.

Do I need to repaint the render afterwards?+

No. Render cleaning restores the original colour of the render — you are not painting over the problem, you are removing it. Painting is almost never necessary.

How long will the results last?+

Most render stays clean for three to five years after a proper soft wash. North-facing elevations under trees may need attention sooner; south-facing walls in the sun can go longer.

Do I need to be home?+

No. As long as we have access to the property, an outside tap and the elevations themselves, you do not need to be there. We send before and after photos on completion.
